Ouzoud High Atlas Mountains Day Trips:
Drive into the beautiful High Atlas Mountains on a day trip from Marrakech to Ouzoud Falls, the highest waterfalls in Morocco. You’ll travel through a landscape of rolling foothills and olive groves, then enjoy free time to relax by the (110-meter) waterfalls. Cross the river on a hand-powered barge, visit cafes at the edge of the water, or check out the Barbary apes that live in the lush river valley.
Essaouira Day Trip:
Essaouira is a refreshing change from the warm hues of Marrakech. This ancient fortified city with whitewashed walls and blue shutters is just two and a half hours from Marrakech. Visit Essaouira as a day trip, and recharge in a city painted blue and white Atlantic.
Departure from Marrakech at 8:00 am
Return to Marrakech at 18:00 pm
Ait Benhaddou Day Trip:
Visit the village of Ait Benhaddou. UNESCO as one of the world’s cultural treasures has classified the fortified village of Ait Benhaddou. It is dotted with crenellated towers and buildings decorated with geometric patterns and is considered one of the most beautiful villages of its kind in Morocco. A restoration program is currently underway to encourage the village population, which is currently inhabited by only five families.
Ourika Valley Day Trip:
Will follow Ourika Valley driving next to the stream up to the Berber village of Setti Fatma, where most of the locals in Marrakech escape to summer heat and spend a day under the shades of the walnut trees.
For those who would like to explore the Valley on foot, local hiking guides are available for hire to walk you to some stunning cascades and back. If you fancy a lazy day, relax at one of the cafés on the riverbank and enjoy the rest of the day listening to the sound of the stream with the High Atlas Mountains as a backdrop.
